If you’re still looking to spend your $100 SingapoRediscovers Vouchers, look no further than the value-for-money Infinite Couples Experiences offered by Sofitel Sentosa Resort & Spa.
In a nutshell, the staycation deal includes a 2-course lunch and 3-course dinner for 2 pax in addition to a stay in the Luxury Room & breakfast.
Sofitel Sentosa Luxury Room
Sofitel Sentosa Luxury Room is really tastefully decorated with curious artworks dotting the room. We loved the overall ambience and huge king-sized bed.

The bathroom is also artistically done, coming with a full size bathtub and beautifully tiled rain shower.

Finally, there is also a cute bar in the room fully stocked with a kettle, Nespresso machine and TWG tea selections.

Lunch at The Cliff
The staycation package comes with a 2-course selection for lunch at either of the on-site restaurants The Cliff (western) or Kwee Zeen (asian). We chose to go with The Cliff to enjoy the slightly better view and cosy dining room.

For appetisers, the Burrata with Cherry Tomatoes was excellent and the portion was so generous.

The seared Fois Gras was also amazing with a perfect creamy char balanced with the pickles. It seems to be no longer available on the regular menu though.

For mains, the Linguine & Clams was underwhelming as it was way too salty and reminded me of zi-char.

The Braised Beef Cheeks was a winner though, as it was perfectly tender and melt-in-your mouth.

Laze By The Pool Or Hit The Beach!
The pool at Sofitel Sentosa is huge and surrounded by many cosy sun beds and recliners. Most of the pool is reserved for adults though as it is fairly deep, with a shallower section cordoned off for children. Pool slots are scarce though, so do remember to book a slot in advance – Sofitel will send you a link in advance to do so.

The beautiful Tanjong Beach is also easily accessible by stairs, do head down for a lovely sunset stroll. During weekends you will have to make a booking to enter any of Sentosa’s beaches though (accurate as of Aug 2021).

Dinner at The Cliff
We were back at The Cliff for a 3-course dinner (included in the staycation package). The Prosciutto di Parma, consisting of a generous serving of burrata and parma ham. You can never get enough cheese!

The Baccala Mantecato was an interesting combination of whipped salt cod, tarragon, chilli aioli & squid ink
tempura which somehow worked well together. Our first time trying this specialty and it was pretty good.

For mains, we really enjoyed a unique creation from The Cliff, the Tonno Piccante (Spicy Tuna) Pizza. A fair warning though, this is really, really spicy. The mix of olives, tuna, chillis and red onions is incredibly addictive!

On the other hand, the Roasted Barramundi was slightly overcooked and not too filling. Don’t really recommend this.

We really enjoyed the sweet and tangy Lemon Meringue but unfortunately it was no longer on the menu when we last checked.

Last but not least, we also tried the Tiramisu but found it underwhelming as it was not creamy or light enough.

The Verdict
Overall, it was a relaxing short break from work. Being away from the main island, Sofitel Sentosa was the closest we’ve come to feeling transported overseas.
The staycation package was really worth it and gave us more time to enjoy the beautiful resort and activities as we didn’t have to worry about planning for food. Also, this was great value considering each meal could easily set you back at least $50/60 per person after GST/service charge on pricey Sentosa. Highly recommended! 🙂
